男士多吃橘子可以預防脂肪肝
日本《朝日新聞》近日一篇文章指出，日本果樹研究所發佈的公開調查表明：多吃柑橘可預防肝臟病和動脈硬化。研究所專家指出，柑橘中含有豐富的類胡蘿蔔素，而調查中發現，類胡蘿蔔素在人體血液中濃度越高，人的肝功能越正常，患上動脈硬化的危險就越低。
在日本，男性飲酒的情況非常普遍，而眾所周知，過度飲酒會造成酒精肝、脂肪肝和肝硬化等疾病。因此，專家專門對每天攝入25克乙醇（也就是640毫升以上啤酒）的男性進行了調查，結果發現，每天吃1個以下柑橘的人，比每天吃3—4個柑橘的人，患酒精肝的可能要高出將近一倍。專家認為，這主要是因為病毒性肝炎、酒精性肝炎以及肝硬化等患者體內血清中的抗氧化能力降低，而柑橘中豐富的類胡蘿蔔素和維生素可提高抗氧化能力，對保護肝臟有益。
